I've been a Spurs fan since very young, I have family in Enfield and Abbots Langley...so it was either Spurs or Watford for me, and I went for the Lillywhites.

My earliest memory was Ricky Villa's wonder goal in the 1981 Cup Final replay against Man City - I'll never forget how the white shirt looked almost silver-white and that Le Coq Sportif kit was my very first kit bought for me at Christmas, along with the navy shorts and white socks Very Happy

I then moved to Basingstoke in Hampshire, and my very first game was around the 84/85 season at home to Watford - it was a birthday treat, and my Dad took me along with 2 friends and we sat in the family enclosure with our caps and flags. It was a brilliant day out but disasterous result, we lost 5-1 with John Barnes and Luther Blisset on form for the Hornets that day.
For the next few years I would get the complete home and away kits - my Dad was very good to me. I had the '82 Centenary home and light blue away, the '83 Holsten Le Coq Sportif home and away, and the all white home hummel kit from 85.
I would then just get the shirts and regret having only kept some of my old one's from over the years.

The best game I saw live at the Lane was either the 7-2 v Saints or my last one, which was against Villa on the Bank Holiday weekend in '05, we won 5-1 - we had great seats right down the front Very Happy
I've seen them away a few times over the years at complete dives like The Dell and Selhurst Park, and the best individual performance I saw was Robbie Keane's hatrick v Wolves in '03 - I drove to that game with the missus, and on leaving the Lane were stuck in traffic down the High Street for hours...but we got to see the players in their flash cars come the opposite way stuck in the same traffic - we were like little kids cheering & clapping at the players who would embarrassedly wave back - Teddy (and his son), Simon Davies, Robbie, Stevie Carr...and we let Jamie & Louise Redknapp out in front of us - she smiled and waved, I think she fancied me Laughing I know we're sad, and since then we now claim to be personal friends of the Redknapps (in our heads!)

Prior to moving to Ireland 2.5 years ago I would get down to The Lane about 4-5 times a season, unfortunately I haven't made it since hopping over the water.

Johaldo - on a side note, I used to really like Mitchell Thomas - he was quality! The Luton team from back then were great, Brian Stein, Ricky Hill, Paul Walsh...Frankie Bunn! I was also at that 7-2 game v Southampton in 2000, where the Saints wore a dodgy black away kit with yellow socks! Chris Armstrong was leading the front line and scored a couple if I remember rightly.

Well as every one can see Ramos is having a good change around of the time I think and bringing strenth to the defence and midfield which has been Tottenhams problem for a very long time.
I will be very sad and upset to see Berbatov go but im sure Ramos knows what he is doing.Im 27 and ive seen players come and go.So if Berbatov and other really good players go im sure they will be replaced by players just as good or even.It seems to me Ramos is building a new team that has strenth through out not just the forwards/strikers.Great players come and go all the time!

I think Berbaton wants the of promise of that he will be playing for a good winning team.Yes Spurs won the Carling cup but we had a bad season in the premiership.
If I was a player I would want to play for team that doing well and a team that would be good for my future.
I think Berbatov maybe waiting to see who Ramos signs up in the near future, like waying up his options.
I think this will be Tottenhams year where they may win european cup,Carling cup again but I dont think we will the premiership just yet but im sure we will get in to the Champions League for next season.Teams have good and bad times, for a few years there at the top and cause times change they can be down the bottom.
Im sure if Berbatov see's and thinks he has a good season set up in front of him he will stay at Spurs.Know one wants to to stay some wehere they dont have a good future and I can understand how Berbatov maybe feeling and thinking.
Also Kean was very good but im sure he will be replaced by someone just as good or maybe better and know Ramos will make sure of that.
I have been thinking for a long time that the defence should be strenthened. And the example of this is the games last season we where winning and had a good chance of winning the game and we had goals scored against us cause of sloppy defending and lost the games. And im for someone like Kean and Berbatov im sure they hate that happening.
