Ajax and Warner Home Video join forces

Warner Home Video (Benelux) and Ajax have reached an exclusive agreement about the distribution of the Ajax DVDs for the next few years.

The first releases that Warner Home Video in partnership with Ajax will bring out in the spring of 2006, are four special and unique DVD titles:
- 105 years of Ajax, a historic overview
- 1995!, including the Champions League Final
- The Golden Years
- The 100 best Ajax goals

All these DVDs contain exclusive and previously unshown footage. The DVDs offer images of Ajax's rich history up to and including the latest goals scored in the ArenA. From unique historic footage from the golden years of the 1930's and the 1970's to the successes in the 1990's with the Champions League and the Wold Cup. In short, a series of DVDs with all the highlights of Holland's biggest and most successful club.

Between footage of historic matches, there will also be a focus on the play of world-class football players who have given Ajax its fame. But also on players who have started their career at Ajax and who have become famous footballers later.

Next to the releases mentioned above, Warner Home Video will release special Ajax Season's box sets.

I will be looking out for this to add to my library. Sounds great and it will be cool to learn their history, and I also hope it will touch alittle on thier youth academy......Stef, nice avatar..

There is a dvd here 'Ajax - daar hoorden zij engelen zingen'(hark the herald angels sing). It is a documentairy. It was also here in the cinema's. At that dvd you see some things about the youth academy. Not much, but it is interesting. you see how tough it can be for kids.

And i thought its also available in other countries, with english subtitles....

The first dvd 'the History' has been presented to the Ajax direction..

The History is available since 26 April
1995 since 17 May
The golden years since 27 September
100 most beautiful goals since 25 October

All together will become a special 'giftbox' at the end of the year. I don't know what's extra in this giftbox. When I know it I will post it.

The history and 1995 I have bought now..

The history dvd is really awesome!! The oldest tapes are from 1920 and its fantastic to see it!! Really this dvd is a must for every Ajax fan!!

1995 is a great dvd too!! You see also short summaries of the competition 94-95.. And the whole final against AC Milan is on it too!!

On this moment it's only available here in Holland.. I think on the dvd is also no English subtitles.. (not sure.. I look for it later today)

I thought they wanted to wait first how the dvd's are doing here before they sell them outside Holland.

The region code is also code 2 (europe & japan)..
