It was a lesson of Clay court tennis by Nadal. Seriously, he brushed aside Federer as if he was some rookie. It was all Nadal except for a brief rally by Federer in the 2nd set. Federer scored only 6 or 7 points in his second serve and his first serve was no better. He made some 30 or 35 errors while Nadal made only 6 I think. He came to the net repeatedly only to be spanked by Nadal most of the time. He tried drop shots, he tried to out-rally Rafa, sliced backhands, etc., etc. but nothing ever worked.

I felt that Federer lost the game mentally in the first set itself. He tried to rally back in the 2nd set, but at 3-3, Nadal simply stepped up and it was all over. He was never in the lead never controlled the rallies let alone the game and each and every statistics was against him. He was frustrated and was throwing his arms around in the second set itself. He just lost his mind and he didn't even had a proper game plan IMO. The only thing he tried to do different than normal was rushing into the net, but he was seriously beaten there. Nothing went his way, even the shots he hit on the tape went in Nadal's favour all the time.

Nadal was simply too good for Federer and in this day, he was no match for Rafa. Nadal played a different level of Tennis.

Also, Nadal's backhand has improved vastly and his overall game play is now improved a lot. I think Nadal will be very very strong in the grass of Wimbledon. Whether he can beat Federer on Grass is another question, but noone can deny the fact that Nadal has improved his overall play vastly. SHould be a good tournament in Wimbledon with Djokovic on the rise too...

I'm too happy now and I'm jumping with joy...

Well done RAFA!!! You played like a champion and you are the King... No. You are the God of Clay... Better luck next time Roger...Very Happy

How are you Raul mate??? You must be extremely happy!!! Very Happy

Raul is gonna rub this in Rolling Eyes

omg , Federer lost the third to love Surprised I at least thought he would of made a game of it. This has been the worst I've seen Federer play this year and I don't just mean this match.

For Nadal all credit to him , he is just unbeatable on the clay. Well done to him. The way he took apart Roger , just awesome.

I do believe now that there will be a new Wimbledon champion. Roger seems to have lost the mental battle a bit. There are so many weaknesses now in his game that weren't there before.

Yesss, mate. It was so great to watch this one. All I have to say is Nadal was absolutely perfect today, and He's proved one more time he's almost unbeatable on clay. But I admire Federer (and hate his wife who's always on TV), and I think he's the number 1, cause unfortunately for Nadal, there's more than clay in tennis.

I just hope we can see another Federer-Nadal in Wimbledon.

Congrats Rafa! Very Happy
