i never said put together he is 11 years older than Rooney and 9 older than tevez still alot of matches between them

You know, when you become older you score less goals if you don't have class, but look at Del Piero.. Rooney & Tevez have no chance of reaching his level, especially not Rooney

Del Piero is a similar player to Rooney and was much better in his prime than Rooney will ever be. Right now they are similar. Del Piero is really slow now though.

But Del Piero scores more, assists more and is a fair player. You don't see him hitting and kicking, spitting and whining to the referees.

Like I said Del Piero is the better player. He just lacks pace these days can only play one position where as Rooney is more versatile and contributes more defensively, which is useful is tough games.

I'd say he's benched because he is our secret weapon. He will be unleashed in the second half and score a trademark Del Piero goal.
