That's bullsh*t. People that know what they are talking about, tend to pick Maradona from what i've heard, seen and read.

Although it's pretty close admittedly. In who they pick that is, not in ability. Maradona is a cut above in my opinion.

its hard to decide who is the best player besause everyone value different aspects of a players game. personally i think george best is the best, pele, maradonna, charlton, eusebio, puskas etc... are truly great players but i think if you put them all together, with no team mates and the ball at their feet ,im sure best had more natural ability than anybody who has ever played the game

Well gorgeous as you are id have to disagree on the last 2 and say Van Basten,Gullit Rijkaard though they were all great players.Van Basten was a long way better though.His goal against Russia was genius!

The best goal i ever saw was George Weahs goal for Milan when he took it deep in his own half and seemed to take on everyone before scoring.Cant remember who it was against though.My fave goal was Michael Thomas' last minute goal at anfield.

Wasn't it Gerd Muller that scored 40 Bundesliga goals in 1 season? I think his name deserves to be up there for all his achievements, very few strikers in all of history can compare to him... I also think he is a bit better than Platini...
