I think it's difficult to answer not knowing what level you're speaking about, but it seems the FA website has some info on this under the Grassroots tab.......

also, if you hang in awhile longer, a couple vacancy’s could be opening up here in the Premiership.. Wink

Well I'm 26 now and I started coaching when I was 17.
I was a ref at the time and liked the prospect of managing my own team so I asked the club chairman
at the time and was given a under 10 team.

I was completely naive and to make matters worse the team were a C team playing in an A league.
My first match as a manager ended in a 21-0 defeat, despite this I was hooked and since then I've coached in America, after school clubs, holiday courses as well as other youth teams.

I manage FC Chippenham U-14 at the moment and last season we won the Wiltshire FA youth U-13 cup at Swindon Town's ground and need only three more wins this year to win the league championship.

So if you can find a youth football club ans start off their and believe me you will create some wonderful memories
