Rafa want SWP |
|
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is chasing Manchester City winger Shaun Wright-Phillips.
Benitez, who has signed six players with La Liga experience in his first year, wants to add homegrown talent to his squad. His only fear is that City's demands may price the Reds out of the market, especially if Chelsea and Arsenal follow up their interest. Liverpool's Champions League triumph will bring in almost £30million but not even that will be enough to compete with Chelsea. Benitez said: "My idea is to sign English players. But the market is unbelievably expensive and very small." |
