Torres swap as Atletico Madrid go for Newcastle's Luque |
|
Atletico Madrid are chasing Newcastle United winger Albert Luque.
Luque only moved to Newcastle in August for £9.5 million, but has failed to settle on Tyneside and been targeted by sections of the Toon support. Atletico were beaten by Newcastle in the summer to land Luque from Deportivo La Coruna and are ready to pounce should the Spaniard intimate he's ready to return to Spain. A swap involving Atletico captain Fernando Torres has been mooted - though Newcastle will struggle to match president Enrique Cerezo's asking price even with Luque added to the deal. Newcastle had a £22 million offer turned down by Cerezo last year for Torres, but knows now that Atletico are inviting offers for the Spanish international. |

I can't imagine Torres leaving Atlético. It's like the only positive thing for the Atleti supporters

Lol! I don't know if they are offering 22 million pounds + Luque! 22 million pounds was what they offered for Torres in the summer. Now they are offering Luque plus a bit of money. Luque doesn't look like he can adapt to the Premiership.

It's very suprising that Luque hasn't done better, i thought he would have been an truely awesome asset to Newcastle. It's a shame he is a brilliant player, maybe a move would do him good.

£22 million is the offer we had turned down in the summer before we signed Michael Owen.
Torres looks a fantastic player ! Luque has only played a few games, but he has not done anything to impress, sprinting straight down the tunnel on Saturday was not a good sign. |

I don't know why He isn't doing so good there, He used to score a lot of goals in La Liga (specially to Real)
BTW, Real Madrid has just got classified to semi finals in the Copa del Rey (King's Cup). Robinho has scored again! |
