Tottenham Hotspur vs Everton |
|
Ledley King (knee) and Jermaine Jenas (toe) should return for Tottenham.
Vedran Corluka and Roman Pavlyuchenko are back in the squad after being cup-tied for the midweek Uefa Cup game against NEC Nijmegen. Full-backs Tony Hibbert (thigh strain) and Nuno Valente (knee) miss out for Everton who have injury problems. James Vaughan (cartilage) is out until the new year while strikers Victor Anichebe and Louis Saha (hamstring) and Steven Pienaar (knee) are also missing. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tottenham (from): Gomes, Cesar, Bale, Gunter, Dawson, Assou-Ekotto, Woodgate, Corluka, King, Stalteri, Rocha, Zokora, Bentley, Huddlestone, Jenas, Gilberto, O'Hara, Bostock, Lennon, Jenas, Taarabt, Boateng, Ghaly, Bent, Campbell, Pavlyuchenko. Everton (from): Howard, Neville, Lescott, Yobo, Jagielka, Baines, Arteta, Osman, Cahill, Fellaini, Yakubu, Saha, Anichebe, Nash, Castillo, Rodwell, Gosling, Jutkiewicz, Baxter. Spurs have the record for Highest Total Premier League goals conceded and Count Gomes will have to sort himself out if he does not want to add to that. Discuss.... |

3-1 to Tottenham.
Pavlyuchenko x2, Bent x1. Cahill for Everton. |

I'm going to this game, hopefully it be an entertaining affair.
I've got a sneaking suspicion that Everton will get a point. They didn't have a midweek european game, and no doubt they'll still be smarting at a pathetic display against Wigan on Monday. My heart says 3-1 to us, but my head says 2-2. |

We have a pretty bad record against Everton over the past few years so I am not sure about this game.

Everton win 1-0, always going to happen we have a terrible record against them in recent years. Just makes the West Ham game more important as the game after we have United.

It's as if we win at Goodison, and they win at WHL!

Disapointing but not wholly surprising result.
