You have chosen your Premier League XI, however all great teams need a great manager. Who is top boss currently in the Premier League in your opinion?

Is Sir Alex Ferguson still number one? How about Frenchman Arsene Wenger? Maybe even Spaniard Rafa Benitez.

The choice is yours

I absolutely hate Fergie from the Black Eyed Pies. I despise her, and find her repulsive.

The fact that she once turned up an hour late for a gig, completely pissed, so much so that she couldn't perform properly and pissed herself on stage doesn't help her cause. Yes, that's right, she urinated her little panties on stage for all to see.

Pathetic, disrespectful slut.

As for who i'd chosoe to manage the team. I'm tempted and i'd like to say Rafa, however, i've got to look beyond this season, so i don't think it would be fair to choose him, and will stick with Wenger.

Wenger does a great job with a small budget, and turns players with potential into world class footballers. But if he didn't have to do that, and had a team filled with world class players (even his unbeatables didn't have that), then the outcome would be mind blowing. Also, the brand of football would be out of this world.

His stubborness and reluctance to buy in the transfer market are his only real weaknesses, but they wouldn't come into it if he had a premierleague all star II to manage.

You gotta be very brave giving the EPL team in his hands, I think he could manage Spanish La Liga team of year better than EPL team of the year! lol Very Happy

I'd rather go for Martin O'Neill or Martin Jol. O'Neill has done much for Villa so did Jol for Hamburger SV, they now play for the title and are 3rd, end of January there is the showdown when they play Bayern Munich at home, this will be a crucial one.

I would like to say Wenger .but he might limit my team to 12 players!
IN all seriousness yeah it would be Wenger ,because he has beter insight to the many intricacies of the game , i doon't think there has ever been a Manager as Anal as Wenger 'scuse the pun,his attention to detail is second to none.

It has to be Fergie surely?
Best manager in the league by a mile in my opinion, and his trophy cabinet backs that up. He dominated the Premier League throughout the 90's, and has adjusted to improved opposition including Mega Rich Chelsea. United are World and European champions. People were slating Fergie when United had a dip in form a few years back, however he has proven once again why he is top of the pile by landing another Champions League trophy.

Wenger this season has not been impressive at all. He has let important players go, and has failed to replace them. His squad is a shadow of that which went unbeated throughout the Premier League season, and is under threat of not finishing in the top 4 this year.

His past record is great, however he has done nothing for years now.

Votes prove otherwise then... haha. On this forum at least.

Phil Brown would still be my choice with Wegner a close 2nd.

Although I hate saying I'd probably have to agree with O Dogg and say Fergie.

Yeah, i agree, that's why i chose him.

Although i've now changed my mind. I still think Wenger is the best, but i'd give the job to Redknapp. The guy is a great manager, up there with the very best. It's a shame he hasn't managed a giant of world football, because overseas people won't appreciate how good he is until he does. In my opinion, he is in the same tier as Wenger, Fergie, Rafa, Scolari and co - the top tier.

Some say good small team managers usually fail at the big clubs, but Harry isn't the sort of guy who would shrink under the pressure and expectation. He loves a challenge, and is as good a candidate as anyone on the globe.

So, Harry Redknapp is my pick.

I think a lot of people put the resurgence largly down to Queiroz.

However, Fergie does deserve great credit, regardless.

But Wenger isn't running a team like Man u, or Chelsea. He's running a club that's more like a business. He's making a profit for the club, which should always be the priority. And despite what other clubs are doing, he's still able to compete. Last season Wenger almost did the impossible, and in the end, sheer bad luck could be to blame for not completing that miracle.

Wenger has had limited funds, he's had to transform young talent into top class first team players and continue to make a profit, as well as compete with teams like Chelsea, Man U and Liverpool, who can go out and spend £20m on strikers and midfielders, or in the case of the former two, £30m - even on defenders. Wenger is belive is the only manager to have actually made a profit in this league, and his spending over the last few seasons isn't in the top half of the table. And his net spending, i'd guess would probably be the lowest in the league.

But i think the reason most choose him, and the reason why he has won most nationwide votes on this subject, is because of his knowledge, tactical excellence, and ability to devlope youth like no other.

It doesn't come down to trophies alone, as every manager is in a different situation, and circumstances can often have a greater bearing on where a trophy goes - not the manager himself.
