Defender Cory Gibbs of the United States has joined Ado The Hague, the Dutch team said Tuesday.
Gibbs, 26, joins Ado The Hague on loan from rival Feyenoord Rotterdam for the remainder of the season. He returns from six months rehabilitation after hurting his left knee while representing the U.S. national team in an international friendly against England in May.
Before joining Feyenoord, Gibbs played for Germany's FC Sankt Pauli from 2001-2004, before returning to the United States where he joined Major League Soccer team Dallas Burn. Gibbs played 15 games with Feyenoord in the 2004/2005 season and 16 internationals with the U.S. national team.
And, as a footnote John O'Brien, the frequently injured American midfielder, also is on ADO Den Haag. He has been in California rehabilitating his latest injury.
