Juventus striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a major summer target for Real Madrid.

The Swede heads a shortlist of six big names that Real president Florentino Perez has drawn up for the summer market.

Perez chose to move for Ibrahimovic after seeing him in action against Real in the Champions League and is prepared to go as high as £25 million for the striker in the summer.

AS says along with Ibrahimovic, Lukas Podolski (Cologne), Xabi Alonso (Liverpool), Christian Poulsen (Schalke), Raul Garcia (Osasuna) and Ashley Cole (Arsenal) are also on Perez's wishlist.

Alonso isn't going anywhere. He's happy here. He's an important player for us and will be for many years to come. It would be plain absurd considering he's won the Champions League here.

Florentino is again looking for more strikers, I think he's striker-sexual or something Laughing
I'd like him to sign Alonso and Cole, but no more strikers!!

That depends on numerous factors. Real are a huge draw for any player, not least a Spanish national. And The draw of heading back home to play for THE most famous club in the world could prove too strong a lure.

It could also depend on how the remainder of Liverpool's season goes, obviously with the league and the CL. The same could also be said of Real's however, and if they continue to fail to impress.

Yes but Real are having a lot of problems. They don't even know if their current coach will be there next season (at least I don't, so if there are any changes, do forgive me). There are so many uncertainties there. To go to such a messy club, and leave a club like Liverpool which is now his comfort zone is pure hilarious.

Just so you know, Alonso was Real Madrid's target only for Madrid to snub him and sign someone else. Thats how Liverpool got him. I don't know of any player who would go to a club where he's unappreciated or treated as second rate. He's playing under a manager thats continually bringing the best out of him, he's adored by the fans, and he's playing well. He's staying for sure. Period.

Madrid should look for someone else. Don't bug us.

Real Madrid didn't sign him because of the coach. But now we have another coach, and I don't know if he likes Alonso or not. But I'm sure that Florentino likes Xabi.
Although I would stay at Liverpool too, He's having a great football there and he has a lot of friends (not only the spanish)

Not a bad list of players that.

Alonso would be an amazing signing for Madrid, cant see Liverpool selling him though unless its an obscene fee that is offered.

That is definetly a wishlist. He will be lucky to bag any of them players. I'm sure Zlatan, Cole & Alonso won't budge.

Yup i agree with Jono. Although i obviously want him to stay at Arsenal, it does seem likely him leaving soon.

Why would Ashley go to a club who haven't won any trophies in a good couple of seasons? He came through our youth system and supported Arsenal as a kid. We've got such a bright future as I'm sick of explaining, so I don't understand why Ashley will leave. His new contract earns him a nice wage and his position at Left Back is his!

All these rumours sparked after the Chelsea tapping up thing, and Ashley stuck by Arsenal then. He would have got more money & more medals at Chelsea than Réal.

Due to your theory, why should the best player in the world (Ronaldinho) go to Barcelona in 2003-2004 after 5 years without winning a trophie?? Rolling Eyes

It's Real Madrid that wants to sign him, not Manchester United! Rolling Eyes

most of you guys are saying that no one wants to real because there are some problems ...but think about it ...if they are a part of a rebuilt team that starts winning, they become gods in football terms....it will turn them from a very good player into an idol ...and their current form is promising , if they can keep it up , there is no doubt they will get some big names in, after all they are still MADRID...the name itself gives you goose bumps
