Third African Golden ball for Eto'o

Eto'o has won his third consecutive African Golden Ball and is the first player that win it three consecutive times. Drogba has finished second and Essien third. The result has been:

I think that it has been closed because Ivory Coast have qualified for the WC and Cameroon haven't. Because if you compare how have they played in Barça and Chelsea, Eto'o has played better.

I think Eto'o deserved it, Essien hasnt done alot since moving to Chelsea and Drogba is certainly not as good as him as you said in terms of club performance.

Eto's deserves it, well done. Drogba has done well also, but I think Eto'o is fully deserving of the award....

He scored a great goal against Burnley. At the wrong end though. Can you believe he has a Champions League medal?

i didnt think the scoring would be so close...drogba is quality but eto'o is just too good...i dont think essien could ever win it ...people in his position dont get enough recognition....

p.s. i still remember that traore goal...it was wierd ..he spun and dragged the ball with him quite nicely ...lol

Drogba took his team to the world cup and to Africa Nations cup final. This is not just fair.

Afrinux, haven't we been over this before? And please, give Ivory Coast some credit, they are not a one man team, that is Drogba has other players around him of quality. Eto'o is deserving, it's just seems that you prefer Drogba over Eto'o, at least thats my take........

I wouldn't give it to Eto'o only becauase He got scared of that famous penalty with Cameroon he didn't wanna shoot. That was an unprofessional actitude, totally coward. The good players are in the best moments, but also in the worst. No matter if you fail that penalty, but if you are the one who normally shoots them, you shoud shoot them in this situations too!

Eto'o deserves it ahead of Drogba. Im surprised it was so close. Drogba didnt take Ivory Coast to the African Cup Final, he wasnt even one of their better players. Kone did better in attack in terms of performance and just look at Eto'os record for barcelona before the ACN, he had 18 goals in something like 17 games

Mido should have taken out this award by a long shot!!
