After seeing a lot of Roma this season, I'll have to back them. They're strong in every part of the field. They always give a great game and have much more quality and strength than the other UEFA Cup teams IMO.

As I've said before, football's a weird game so anyone could win it. Best of luck to Boro. Their win over Hamburg was exceptional after such a big slump. I remember somebody beat em' 7-0 in EPL.

Roma for me, they are just playing some breathtaking football at the minute. If no one can beat them in the Serie A right now then i can't see any of the remaining teams left in this years competition causing them much problem.

Will Boro get to defend the trophy like Liverpool with the CL?

I'm not hinting at things but it does look pretty impossible for the Boro to qualify for the UEFA Cup. Should they fail to qualify but go on to win the UEFA Cup, will they get the chance to defend it then?

I was amazed with the result. Sadly I missed the game. Excellent stuff Boro!! Looks like we're both in the same sort of boat. Terrible in EPL, excellent in Europe.

Wouldn't it be amazing if two EPL sides brought back the two big European trophies?

Absolutely fantastic!!! WOW!!

I tell you something Roma look a class outfit even without a few big name stars, their passing at times was sublime - quick, pacey and dangerous. However they did not troble Schwarzer until the last ten minutes due to brilliant defending from Mad Dogg, Riggot and mainly Southgate.

We threatned the most and it was like dreamland when Yak cooly slotted home from the penalty spot, yes the riverside went crazy!! Mendieta was superb really looked a class act and pulled all the strings from midfield, But god knows how he blasted his chance towards the end over the bar after a defence splitting pass from sub Viduka. We were left thinking if only we were going to rome with a 2-0 lead.

SUPER LEE CATTERMOLE!!! I've praised him on the forum already but honestly he just looks such a talent! Man of the match for me and most of the fans, 17 year old and he bossed the midfield battling away - Awesome is the only the word.

BORO 2 - 1 Arsenal
BORO 4 - 1 Man Utd
BORO 3 - 0 Chelsea
BORO 1 - 0 ROMA
ROMA ? - ? BORO

Can't wait to go to the away tie im so bloody excited!

BRING ON ROME!!!

Yea, well done Boro. Somewhat lucky since Roma dominated the second game terribly and had many strikers missing in action. You got beat but went through.

Good luck in the next round.
