I for one am gutted! I really wanted it to be a great game with Arsenal winning Sad
I did watch the little hightlights on the FA site....tut tut Emma you were in no mans land on the first goal. Confused Oh well I still like her as a 'keeper even after that, sounds like Alex Scott didn't have a great game either, bless they all must be soo dissapointed; bad enough losing but playing so badly also!
From the sounds of every match report Kelly 'twinkle toes' Smith played a decent game, gutted also that Fleets didn't get a penalty; it obviously was one Rolling Eyes

Kelly's not able to win the games on her own,
she needs some help from her team mates
and when players like Scott refuse to see her in a clear position
and pass the ball to her, that's what the important games end like.
I get the feeling (not just after this game but I have noticed that before)
that Miss Scott would like to shine like a star herself and maybe is a bit jealous of Miss Smith.
As a professional athlete she should be able to forget about it during games
and pass the ball to the players who are able to pass it further,
not just to those whom she likes.

take it your not a fan of Miss Scott's then, lol
AS I'll take your word for it, because I don't get to go watch Arsenal, and you watcch 'em all the time - if that's the case Miss Scott should find a new club

I haven't seen a lot of Alex Scott as she's been injured for a while, but I reckon the defence was better in the games I saw before her return.

Alex is not a bad footie player but she's just plain selfish.
I had seen her (Twmcat saw that too) in B'wood when she was just about to throw the ball in
but "couldn't see" anyone to throw the ball at.
So Kelly ran towards her, pointing with her finger,
that she wants Alex to throw the ball in front of her
- there was no-one around her, but Alex just ignored her!
It's been 3 or 4 times when I saw Alex not passing to Kelly when she should have.
Either she doesn't like Kelly for some reason or she's just blind.

She can change the club but she can't change her nationality,
she'd better not behave like that against France,
because players like Kelly Smith will have a lot to do in that game without her ingoring them.

Alex is a class defender. Remember her main position is right wing, but it was whilst she was at Bham last season that she made the move to RB position. It may have been that she was not actually 100% match fit as she has missed the last 4/5 months, and it is probably hard to be thrown into a game like that. Shes only young and she will bounce back from this no probs.

I personally have nothing against Alex, from what I saw of her in the Euro's she was good and looked a promising player. I'm just reacting to comments made, because I have never actually seen Arsenal Ladies or Alex play. Wink

I do not play footie myself but I have been following it for a few years.
I have been to a lot of Arsenal Ladies' games
and I know they CAN play better than yesterday.
What they lack sometimes is a will to play as a team.
Everybody wants to be a star.
I don't have to play footie myself to be able to notice that.

Spikeyd please read my post above and think about it.
It is not easy for me to criticise the team I love.
But they are professional players, they have lots of trainings and it's their job to do well.
Like I said - I know they can do a lot better than they did on Sunday.
I've seen them play better many times.
And as a supporter and a fan I feel entitled to criticise them when they play like they did 2 days ago.
According to you only those who play football, know the game?

What are your views on football though?
If you don't have much to say about it, why deny others do that?
This is a discussion baord about football.

Agreed.
Many fans do not play the game, however they pay the prices to go and watch the club week in week out. Fans who follow their team like that are of course entitled to give an opinion on how they saw the game, and how they feel the game went.

And just to back this up - there are football pundits out there who have never played the game, but have a job to criticise teams and players on how they perform.

Where did I say:

Only those who play the game know the game?

How Am I:

Denying others?

And yes this is a football forum for discussing the game.

My apoligies, i could of sworn my question was football related?

Never mind x

I was asking about your views on football, not football related questions.
Do you attend any games except your own? What are your views, comments?
You have not much to say about it,
except how little do we know about the game if we don't play footie ourselves.

Spikeyd I'm not the only person who reacted to your post
and understood your words the same way,
plus you still haven't answered my question, but whatever.

Have a good one and don't mind me Smile

Your question 'what are my views on football' isnt very specific.

And yes someone else replied but it was more of a constructed opinion rather than a personal attack

Lesson learnt

Nuff said

I think the questions I posted above:
"Do you attend any games except your own? What are your views, comments?" are quite specific.
You chose not to answer them so I take it you have not much to say about it.
This is not a personal attack, I'm just stating what I see.
