Yes i do attend games when im not playing.

But with regards to my comments and views on football, well i have many!

Tho have now learnt that a football forum of all places is not the place to air and share them!

You've never shared any. Please do so - I am really curious to your views on the games. Honest.

It was the second time in three years that the Addicks had lifted the trophy - and was achieved despite an injury crisis that saw three players play out of position at Wycombe Wanderers' Causeway Stadium.

Central midfielder Maria Bertelli was enlisted at centre-half, left-back Eartha Pond provided a combative presence in the middle of the pitch, and England striker Amanda Barr worked the right wing.

And Aluko added: "I'm so proud of the team; proud of the way we defended and proud of the way we fought for each other.

"The likes of Casey Stoney, Karen Hills, Maz Bertelli - who has never played for us at centre-half before and was amazing - were all incredible.

"We knew that we could win if we played well and I'm just so happy we've won another trophy and put the critics to sleep, so to speak."

Aluko, who also scored the winning goal in last season's FA Cup final, found the net first with a neat lob and then slipped a shot under Republic of Ireland international Emma Byrne just before half-time.

"I'm really pleased with the goals, and with my finishing," she said.

"For the first I knew that if I could get in front of the defender, then it would just be a case of getting my technique right and thankfully it went in."

With one trophy in the Valley cabinet, Charlton are now targeting the treble, although Arsenal also stand in the way of success in the FA Cup and the Premier League.

"Winning the league cup final is extra special because it's against Arsenal, because we are the two top teams in the women's game," said Eni, who has now headed off to join up with the England set-up ahead of Thursday night's friendly against Iceland.

"We're absolutely delighted. We need to push on now. If we can pull out those kind of performances again there is nobody that can stop us.

"We can win the FA Cup and we can win the league and hopefully we can get into Europe next season."

Spikey we would like to hear your views on football so please do not be put off. Smithy is a great member to the site, and gets on with all the members we have here - and I am sure you would also get on with her and the other members who post regularly in this section.

If not, then its a shame, but I would like to wish you the best.

Of course it's not that easy to put it into practise, but are you saying we shouldn't criticize a team or the players, even if it's good criticism? (Can be both good and bad!)

It's easy to comment others views, those who are willing to stand for their opinions (like Agent Smith), than share your own. It can be scary to have someone questioning you, but isn't that also a good way to learn something? To get another view on things? They can also make you stronger in your opinon, so I think you win either way.
I think a message board is the perfect place to share your opinions to others, but you also have to respect what others say. If you don't like it, say it, but you should explain why you don't like it or else it will be meaningless.

Spikeyd please read my post above and think about it.
It is not easy for me to criticise the team I love.
But they are professional players, they have lots of trainings and it's their job to do well.
Like I said - I know they can do a lot better than they did on Sunday.
I've seen them play better many times.
And as a supporter and a fan I feel entitled to criticise them when they play like they did 2 days ago.
According to you only those who play football, know the game?

What are your views on football though?
If you don't have much to say about it, why deny others do that?

Remember they are not professional players. Pro players are people who work on their game 30-50 hours a week, and get paid an obscene amount of money. These girls prob train with their team mates twice a week if that. They will then do gym work, speed work and recovery work in their own time, around their full time jobs and looking after their families. Their rewards finanically are very little.

Of course you are right lvblue, but what I meant was that they are more pro than I am Wink
(In answer to spikeyd's post).
I didn't mean financial aspects, I know they have to have jobs etc.
But they have trainings and they play almost every Sunday
and I have seen them play well and bad,
but last Sunday was the worst I've seen Arsenal play.
Maybe they got used to easy wins and Charlton had to remind them
that they are not the only unbeaten team in the league Wink

I think we understand that lvblue, but when we went to Wycombe the other day, and there was an attendance of 3,506, we thought it just might have been possible that they they put in a better effort with us paying £5 to get in rather than the free entry away to Chelsea two weeks earlier, when about 100 turned up, and they played so much better.

Just my own thoughts there - don't intend to upset you or anyone Wink
