This would have convinced me, if some english players( Shawn wright Phillips, ...) werent racially abused in Spain. Shawn wright Phillips isnt that good and I dont think people hate him, because he is a modest and polite kid. Italy and Spain leagues are the only big europeans leagues where this happen. Italy was a nazi state and everyone remember what the nazis did for being racists. For Italy case I have a clue, because there might still some nazis. The thing I dont know, why Spain? |

I was in that match in Bernabeu, and it has an explanation (which won't convince anyone, it's stupid and I'm not supporting it, but anyway):
Some people in Spain were (and still are) annoyed with the british people who say we are racist (specially after that thing with Henry), and that was like an attack. I remember that in the match everyone also yelled at Rooney (He pushed Casillas), and make reference to his big ears. That's another way of violence, but why the hell did he push him? |

I bet you have seen the Barcelona - Chelsea match, haven't you?? Then, how do you explain that Mr.Laporta allows those kind of banners that say "Catalonia is not Spain"??? It is simply ashaming that a president who pretends to destroy violence in football, permits this kind of violence and makes such a political pressure. I'm not saying that all the people in Cataluña thinks the same, but it's a prove that some things can't (or maybe don't want to) be controlled in football. It is so obvious that this president tries to make a strong independentist politic in the team, something I don't understand, this is football, not politics!! |

Uh, now, tough subject... Do you really want to bring this on the forum? Ok, well then. I don't think that banners such as "Catalonia is not Spain" incite violence, c'mon, that's demagogy! Do you believe in freedom of speech, my friend? That is only a banner and it doesn't have anything to do with Boixos Nois, who by the way are mostly fascists like the rest of ultras. And now that we are on the subject, don't make me laugh with the "not bring politics into football" speech when you know better than anyone here that Barça-Madrid has always been about politics. It won't change, ever. Why do you think Barça is called "més que un club" (more than a club)? |

That's the sad story, that Mr. Laporta is the one who makes politics from football. And demagogy you say?? hahaha, that is pure violence, I'm sorry but in Madrid we don't pick banners saying "Madrid is Spain". However, that people in Barcelona handle them because they wanna create anger and violence, and you know it perfectly. And you shouldn't misunderstoos the meaning of "freedom of word". Because if I have a banner that says, for example, "Cataluña sucks", wouldn't it be offensive?? But hey, I have freedom to express what I want, so no problem...

I think Raul this is not the place to discuss politics, though I'll just say that when we see Spanish flags in Real Madrid's stadium we feel offended too, because is that necessary? is not provoking too? So it's the same thing. If they feel Spanish already why they need to show it so evidently in a stadium? That's politics too. And let me remind you that the worst nationalism is that from Castillians.

wait, wait, a spanish flag offends you???
That's unbelievable, the last straw... I have no words, it's so sad... But you're right in one thing, this is not the place to discuss about it, so, say something more if you want and let's finish this here, for our own sake |
