Norway's Isabell Herlovsen sparked life into the Group B match against France with a looping second-half header.
Up until the 16-year-old substitute struck France looked set for a berth in the last four courtesy of Stephanie Mugneret-Beghe's goal after 20 minutes.

She capitalised on a woefully under-hit back pass from Siri Nordby to score.

In an entertaining finale both sides had chances to win, Marinette Pichon forcing a fine save from Bente Nordby and Solveig Gulbrandsen hitting a post.
