Although it’s not quite the Scudetto showdown that we had all hoped it would be, there are still few games in the Serie A fixture list that can top a Juventus v Milan clash. The Stadio Delle Alpi is the venue as the Old Lady of Italian football look to all but confirm their 29th Scudetto with a win over Carlo Ancelotti’s men. After recently launching our new Player channel, it is rather fitting that Milan will be throwing all their chips in – but will the flop be good to them?

Despite completing a routine demolition job on Empoli in Week 28, Coach Ancelotti claimed that he would have substituted all of his players if he could have done – there’s just no pleasing some people! But Milan supporters would have been delighted to hear such ruthlessness from one of the nice guys of Italian football, especially in the build up to one of their biggest games of the season.

Former Juve favourite Pippo Inzaghi heads into the game with eight goals to his name in 2006 and he could prove to be the go-to-guy for the Rossoneri. His ten League goals this term also mean that Milan have the hottest strikers in the League, with the goals of Andriy Shevchenko and Alberto Gilardino taking the trio up to an impressive 41 goals. Of equal importance has been their renewed resilience at the back, which has helped take them to within ten points of their opponents this weekend.

The machine formerly known as Juventus has shown few signs of any malfunctioning this term, with their only major setback coming against Milan. They have only dropped points in four other outings and if they can stop that figure being added to at the Delle Alpi then the Scudetto will be virtually guaranteed.

Coach Fabio Capello has no doubt about why his side are No 1, following the battling win over Sampdoria at the weekend. “This was a tough Juve performance, as we knew how to suffer under pressure and then emerge with some beautiful football at the right time,” said the tactician.

I think that this will be a cracking game for the neutral, i hope too see some quality football and plenty of goals.

Juve are usually boring to watch but im still hoping for a good game, Bremen showed i the CL that the Juve defence isnt unbeatable and Milan are a good attacking team s it should be good.

2-2 is my guess

Juventus' 10-point advantage at the summit of Serie A stayed in tact following a goalless draw with nearest rivals Milan.

The Rossoneri were hoping for a repeat of their thrilling San Siro win over the Old Lady, but Carlo Ancelotti's side were unable match their heroics earlier in the season.

The opening period was a tight and tense affair, although Milan perhaps shaded the better of the limited opportunities in the half.

Things opened up after the interval with Pavel Nedved testing Dida from distance while Gianluigi Buffon had to be quick off his line to close down Filippo Inzaghi.

Milan were up in arms when Alessandro Nesta's shot in the area struck Emerson arm, although referee Massimo De Santis waved away their appeals.

Milan's hopes of sneaking the contest disappeared late on when Gennaro Gattuso was dismissed after his late challenge on Nedved earned him a second booking of the contest.

Well thats the end of the title race, but at least Milan gave a good account of themselves and proved Juve are not irresistable.Hopfully Crespo will come back in the summer and bring the title with him.
