Ive heard from sources in Newcastle that owen will be returning in the summer for £10m,anybody else heard this.

Been speaking to a friend in Newcastle and apparently this story is true,owens wife is not at all happy in the north east.

Sounds a little cheap I doubt Newcastle are willing to lose 7 million after only a year - but if we have some money to spend then maybe something can happen. Hope so anyway.

Haha. Too bad they can't do anything disillusionist. Owen would be allowed to talk to other clubs as long as they pay in the region of £12 million pounds. Its a clause in his contract.

I also heard that this clause becomes active as soon as Souness is sacked. So perhaps it explains why Souness was still at the helm despite poor results.
