Juventus director general Luciano Moggi is seeking talks with Liverpool officials over midfielder Steven Gerrard.

Moggi will take advantage of Juve's Champions League clash with Arsenal to schedule a meeting in London with Liverpool representatives to discuss Gerrard's availability.

Juve coach Fabio Capello wants Gerrard for next season and Moggi is prepared to use a large chunk of the cash generated from their TV deal with Mediaset to convince Liverpool to sell.

Juve are also willing to include defender Jonathan Zebina in the deal, but are well aware straight cash could clinch Gerrard's signing with Liverpool struggling to attract new investors.

Gerrard would probably take Vieira's place and I don't know if Patrick would accept this role of second choice. Moreover it'd be hard for Juve's management to admit their last year wrong buy.

First of all I don't see this happening, but with that said, if it was to happen I sure could find a way to make Vieira and Gerrard play at the same time, that wouldn't be a problem for me.... Wink

I personally don't think Gerrard is as good as Vieira. There's nobody better in that role than Pat, his natural game can be perfect most games when he's on form. Can't see how it'd be a problem playing both of them.

Can't see Stevie leaving either. Liverpool are a team on the up and Stevie has already dedicated himself many o' times.

I don't think that Gerrard will move to Juventus but I say that Vieira probably will not play as much as this year with him in the same team. Juve has already Emerson and in my opinion Gerrard would take Vieira's place. Whatever I didn't say that they (Vieira-Gerrard) couldn't play toghther. I think, on the contrary, that they'd be an amazing midfield match but I also think that Gerrard is more similar to Vieira than to Emerson (so he'd probably play with Emerson), and it'd be difficult to see all three of them play at the same time.

I dont see Gerrard leaving really, nothing has happened to make him want to lewave since he recommitted to Liverpool after the whole Chelsea saga, infact id say he would be more inclined to stay since then.

Nobody is taking our Captain MArvel away!!

He's been excellent for us and Liverpool is on the boyhood club. Give us a few seasons more and we'll probably have a team that can mount a serious challenge for the title. Nothing would mean more to Gerrard to to lift the Premiership or any other title as captain of the club.

But to throw my two cents worth in the discussion. There'll be no problems playing Gerrard-Vieira or Gerrard-Emerson because he has done almost every single position for Liverpool. Heck he can even play upfront. He has 19 goals this season, our top scorer btw ....

He will never win the Premiership with the current Liverpool team, maybe he wants league trophies!
