I think Charlton will be kicking themselves for not winning this. I've just seen the highlights and Schwarzer was impressive with a few point blank saves.

Anyone else seen the match?

I saw the last 30 minutes. The first minutes were bad in my opinion but last 10 minutes were better because Charlton tried to win and there were more chances.

Hey $enior I think Boro have a good chance of making it into Europe now ...

Consider this senario, you beat Charlton at home and West Ham in the semi-final.

Then you meet Chelsea or Liverpool and who are likely to play in the Champions League this season.

Ta-dah, you are in Europe even if you don't win it Wink

I watched the game. I thought Mendieta was particularly disappointing. Cattermole and Downing worked hard and played some neat football although Yakubu was doing **** all up front, whilst Jimmy worked back to get some service to make something happen. Boro's defence did a decent job, especially Southgate and Schwarzer was excellent per usual.

Charlton were disappointing also as they should have pushed much harder and Hughes had a terrible game, so service to Bent & Bartlett was poor mostly. I'd fancy Boro to edge the second game and go through.

I think that after the draw is released, the players will be more fired up (both Boro and Charlton) because they all have a realistic chance of reaching the final. It'll be an exciting affair I'm sure ...
