West Brom manager Bryan Robson has confirmed that he is interested in taking
Liverpool goalkeeper Chris Kirkland on a long-term loan deal.
"We are interested in signing him for a certain amount of time," Robson told the
Liverpool website.
"I hope to have him over for training so we can assess his fitness. If all is all right there could be a loan deal.
"I am hoping to have talks this week and a deal is something we are definitely looking at."
Kirkland began his career in the West Midlands at Coventry before moving to
Liverpool for £6m in August 2001 but he has been plagued by injuries in recent years.
