"We have been tracking Brahim for some time," said Bain. "Alex and I watched him in action against Newcastle two seasons ago and Alex has followed his progress ever since. He is a Bosman so we have worked very hard for quite some time to capture his signature.
"Brahim has signed a four-year deal and we are delighted with the long-term commitment. The Bosman market is very competitive and teams like Real Betis, Bayer Leverkusen, Everton and Bolton were interested in securing his services.
"We had talks with Brahim last week then he flew to Glasgow to have his medical and have a look at Ibrox and Murray Park. The player was so impressed with the facilities we have at the club and, of course, the prospect of Champions League football next season.
"We flew him back to France on Friday night and gave him the weekend to make up his mind so we were delighted to get the call on Sunday indicating he was going to join us. Brahim is an experienced and very professional player. He has also done his homework on the club and we are delighted to sign him." |
