Preston manager Billy Davies has assured forgotten man Andy Smith That he still does have a future at preston after the irishman returned from a long lay off through injury.
Smith who was due to spend all season at motherwell but returned due to injuriy fell out of favour under billy davie but will be given a chasnce when he is fully fit.
Smith has only made a handful of appearences since last season's move from part time football for glentoran and has still to score a first team goal for preston
but billy is willing to give a clean slate more likely to be next season Smithy will get his chance

I hope he takes it would be nice to see him do well could be a good player

Preston have been hit with further news that midfielder Brian oneil and striker Marcus Stewart look likely to miss the easter programme after both players limped off in the first half win against norwich. Both players have picked up hamsring strains aswell as oneil having a pelvic problem
I dont know how preston keep winning at the moment with all the injuries to key players in key positions but this is testement to the young lads that have come in and shown they are not thased by the pressure of getting pne in the play offs.

The injurie list now reads:
David Nugent
Danny Dichio
Matt hill
Callum Davidsson
Andrew Lonergan
Adam Nowland
Andy Smith
Brian Oneil
Marcus Stewart

After a frustrating couple of seasons Preston's highly rated goalkeeper Andrew Lonergan is making a comeback after TWO really bad knee injurys
Lonergan who was linked with a £2 million move to Man Utd before his injurys is making good progress and will be back battling Carlo Nash for the number 1 jersy next season

Preston got another 3 points today to continue their good run of form against Wolves but again it has come at a price Frech center back Youl Mawene Pulled up in the morning But young lad Kelvin Wilson was an able deputy Keeping Miller quiet all game.
The next casualty is Brett Ormarod who was strethered off After scoring the 2nd goal of the game after clattering in to giant goalkeeper Stefan Postma and is suffering from concussion hopfully he will be fit tho in time for Hull city away next week.

All in all another great result and the young boys keep doing it for us just our injury list keeps growing everytime we play

I thought i would put this in as i feel these players deserve a mention Local lad Paul McKenna has reached another milestone in his pne career by playing his 350th game for Preston in the game against Wolves a fantastic achievment for the lad who last season was voted PFA fans player. And this coming Saturday Graham Alexander will play his 350th game for preston.Alexander who was signed by former manger David Moyes Back in 1998 has been nothing short of fantastic a true PNE legend well done to Mr Consistant

Players like theses are hard to come by these days so i thought they deserve a mention
