Pellegrini praises his troops |
|
Villarreal coach Manuel Pellegrini always believed his side would overcome Internazionale.
The Yellow Submarines had it all to do after going down 2-1 in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League clash, but turned things around at El Madrigal thanks to Rodolfo Arruabarrena's winner. Pellegrini was always confident his charges could cause an upset and says the away goals success was down to a sound work ethic instead of luck. "I was convinced we would beat Inter," said Pellegrini. "The first half was balanced, but in the second perhaps we deserved more than one goal. "This isn't a miracle or a dream. It's based on hard work and belief." Pellegrini has to be given credit for how he has got Villareal playing throughout the CL this season. |
