Who is your Most Valuble Player?
based on overall performance & don't be biased towards your fav Cool

Malin Moström & Anne Mäkinen ~ are awesome both for club and their Countries
- I know Malin came into great form kinda later in her career but thats fine with me because I think she is fantastic!
All the younger Swedish players (and older ones too) adore her, look up to her
Shes motivational and I have never heard a bad word said about her!
Always professional ~ shes just great!

Mäk got her 100th cap for Finland not so long ago Cool definatly deserved
- she has been a rock for Finland over the years,
shes a 'little' (well big, cos she quite tall) diamond, takes some brill set pieces
Plays at the top level; used to be a Philly Charger & a NJ Wildcat now a Champ with Umea

both have represented their Countries for a long time, both over 100 apps
Malin being the current Swedish captain Cool

I thought I'd leave Kelly Smith free for others to suggest Wink

It had it had to be done! Wink

KELLY SMITH-and thats it...do i need to say anymore Confused ! Wink Ok, soooo where to start...hmmmm...well she IS the best in England no doubt about it her authority on the pitch, the goals she has scored for both club and country is oustanding, she has struggled through injury but she's still here playing her heart out Laughing First english player to hop across the pond to play professionally which must have been hard leaving everything! She's an inspiration to anyone, and deserves all the credit she gets, she hasn't got as many caps she deserves due to inury but that doesn't matter because she's our KELLY SMITH Razz ha ha ha...ok...maybe she sin't perfect but for me and many others she is!

KRISTINE LILLY- Shocked 300 CAPS!! And she is still going, i don't know about you but, i want to know how she can keep on playing at such a high level at the age she is!! For a woman to get the most caps than anyone in thw whole world its amazing!

Abby Wambach for me , very strong and athletic. Good in the air and can hold the ball up well. Good scorer and her overall work rate for the team is tremendous Smile

Mary Phillip , what can you say , her overall play is good and she is a great defender who doesn't get the credit she deserves. Goes about her job quietly and efficiently. Smile

kristine Lilly is brillant a little energizer bunny who never stops running Laughing , her work rate is brillant espcially for her age , puts a lot of the younger player's to shame Smile

I like your choices smithy Wink

old skool MVP's would have to include Foudy!!!! Cool

Don't really have to say anything about 'loudy~Foudy' she's just pure class!
Makes me laugh so much with her comments, esp when she taking the mick outta Brandi & Mia Laughing
She's tireless and really fit, considering she lived off doughnuts & coffee Shocked
put in a massive amount of energy, led from the front
motivated all her teammates, represented USA many many many times
pure entertainment on and off the pitch!

FOUDY come back Wink

I saw that dvd the other day , the t-shirts the entire team wore for the photo call crack me up Laughing , those were the days. Abby is quite entertaining so amybe she will take over Foudy's mantel.

How did you walk into a wall or shouldn't I ask? If it's any consolation I tried a trick snowboarding at the weekend and broke my leg Sad

I have too many MVPs, most of them play for Arsenal haha Mr. Green

But let me mention just one - KELLY SMITH - lol surprise Wink

Because of her her footie skills, because she's stubborn and amibitious.
Because I don't know many other footballers (maybe Boxx & Mostrom only)
who can control the game at the front and at the middle of the pitch, like she does.
Because 9 out of 10 passes of hers are always accurate.
Because she brings a lot to the game, being a good entertainer and a terriffic striker.
Fantastic leader, awesome goal scorer and play maker.
Blah blah blah, anyone who's seen her play live, knows what I mean.
Jaw on the floor - every time Cool

My other MVPs:

Jayne Ludlow
Mary Phillip
Shannon Boxx
Abby Wambach
Julie Foudy
Mia Hamm
Malin Mostrom
Malin Andersson
Dagny Mellgren
Solveig Gulbrandsen
Anne Makinen

If I forgot someone, I'll add later Wink

Yeah I didn't want to sound too biased Wink
Like justme! said - nobody's perfect and I've seen Kelly play good and I've seen her play bad
(maybe 5 or 10 minutes in total - through the whole season) Razz
The thing with her is, that during important games, she plays her best and is always passionate, gives her whole heart to the game.
It's amazing to see her play on such high level after all she's been through.

Surprised Surprised Surprised Surprised Surprised Surprised Surprised Surprised
How can you say that?!
Have you ever seen her play?
Ludlow is always near the goal,
I have no idea how she does that but she's just always there!
The ball is being passed somewhere nearby the box and it's usually Jayne who touches it last.
Whether she manages to score or not (and she scores a lot!),
she's always a great danger to the opposition.
She's a better striker than Fleets and she's a fantastic midfielder as well.
And she's extremelly FAST.
My second favourite Arsenal player! Razz

Seriously Kel, you need to see Arsenal Ladies play once or twice
- then I know I'll hear "You were right!" Cool Mr. Green
