    Almaty United Football Club

Here I will publish the news of Almaty United Football Club (Kazakstan, League B) (check Google, YouTube or Wikipedia for details).

Due to financial problems the start of Almaty League B is being postponed. To fill up the match days, AU had a training match vs reserve team of Lokomotiv Astana (Kazakstani Premiership). Score is 7-0 to Loko's.
Next friendly match AU will play vs FC Ili-Saulet (Kazakstani D1).

As any club, during the pre-season, we lost some players, and we found new ones too.
Officially we are amateur club, so we do not sign players officially - we just enlist them prior the League B deadline, which is being postponed now. We will submit our list of players later, but there are few good fellas to join our team.

Video of Dauren Ussenov (nickname- Tiger), striker of Almaty United, who got knee injury last year, in 2008, in regular match. His promotional video with surgery on his knee!

FC Ili-Saulet is professional team, so we expected the result. We just checked our newcomers. Goalkeeper Yermek is pretty good, and midfielder Damiras is OK.

Friendly match: AU - Lokomotiv Astana: 0-8 (0-1)
Start of League B is being postponed, so AU arranged friendly match vs club of Kazakstani Premiership, Lokomotiv Astana:
    July 19, 2009: 10am, Football Land Stadium.
Despite the friendly character of the match, players of both teams tackled and fought for the ball aggressively. Lokomotiv played with reserve team players, so in 1st half no team had a constant advantage. As Lokomotiv is more experienced team, it has higher class, but despite it, score was remaining 0-0. Only in the end of 1st half Lokomotiv scored their opener.
2nd half started with Lokomotiv's rapid attacks, and by the mid of 2nd half the score became 0:4 to Astanese.
Lokomotiv kept attacking, but great saves by AU's new goalkeeper Yerik kept the score minimal. In the end of 2nd half Lokomotiv dominated. Fast passing, nice diagonal long passes, and 4 more goals were scored.
Final score is 0-8 to Astana team, who performed much better than opponent team, but there is no surprise - Lokomotiv players are professional.
