Thread: The French Open

On Saturday Italy's Francesca Schiavone beat Australia's
Samantha Stosur 6-4,7-6 to win the womens final at Roland Garros.

This is the first Italian woman to win a grand slam singles title since 1974!

Its refreshing to see a new name lift the trophy as it has been boring seeing The Williams sisters win all the time.

This afternoon see Rafael Nadal take on Robin Soderling in The Mens final.

    Come on Rafa!

Rafael Nadal won The Mens final 6-4,6-2,6-4 against Robin Soderling!

I was expecting it to be a lot more difficult for Rafa but he only took 2hrs or so to win the title.

He has now won Roland Garros 5 times in the last 6 years and is the undisputed king of clay.

The question now everybody wants to know is can he beat Federer on grass at Wimbledon?

Not long for us to wait to find out ,

Nadal just too good. Had a little hiccup that helped out the Fed, but Nadal is still the king of clay, indeed.

    Well done! Vamos!

    Damn Andy Murray!

Rafael Nadal was just once again too good and in control for most of the match.

That was an incredible stat that Novac Djokovic had won his last 43 games until today!

So the mens final on Sunday will be between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal!

Will the Spaniard and king of clay retain his title or can the Fed Express deliver a knock out blow?

    Vamos Rafael!
