England snatch victory from the jaws of defeat and win the 1st Test against New Zealand. A series win here would set us up nicely for the Ashes.
A lack of trust is a perfectly acceptable reason for his exclusion. When he insulted the team and the players he forfeited his right to play for England again.Originally Posted by Hams

It was an impressive win against the Kiwi's and Ben Stokes in particular was excellent. Is he going to be our new Andrew Flintoff?
Is he up to throwing up in the PMs garden and causing an embrassing incident with a Pedalo?!Originally Posted by Hams

No play at Leeds today for the 2nd test due to the rain. Alistair cook need only 30 odd more runs to beat Graham Gooch's Test run record.
England bat themselves into a great position at Headingingly. Cook makes 75 and Lyth gets 107 on his home ground. Currently at 253-5 and only 97 runs behind the Kiwis first innings.
England have slumped to a disapointing defeat against New Zealand. The Kiwis were on fire with their batting in the 2nd Innings. The series ends with a 1-1 draw and now the ODI series start up followed by the silly T20 game. Test match series should be at least 3 tests!.
England end up beating New Zealand in the final ODI to win the series 3-2 in what has been an incredible competition full of records being broken.
Next up is the Ashes against Australia!
Before the Ashes its a pointless T20.
Looking forward to the Ashes though. The 3-0 home win scoreline from 2 years ago masked what was a tight contest, the truth finally showed in the mauling down under. Like before the Aussie team is being savaged by the media down there hoping that it will inspire them. I'm quite impressed by our form going into the Ashes though, too early to make a prediction but I think the urn is ours!
The Ashes start on Wednesday in Cardiff! - Canna wait!
