    Friday May 4th
    Blackpool 1 - 0 Birmingham City
    1-0 Davies 44 (o.g.)

An own goal just before half time has given The Donkey Riders a small advantage to take to Brum for the 2nd leg

    Any comments on the result?

West Ham play their 2nd leg play off today against Cardiff at Upton Park 2-0 up after winning away in Wales

I'll be very surprised if we don't win and go on to the final at Wembley either against Blackpool or Birmingham.

Cardiff can't come to Upton Park and park the bus like most teams do and will have to come out and attack

I think this will make it an open game but our superior players at West Ham will take advantage and create lots of chances

West Ham to win 3-1 against Cardiff

    West Ham 2-0 Cardiff

Kevin Nolan headed the Hammers into an early lead

Ricardo Vaz Te fired in an unstoppable shot just before the break to increase West Ham's lead

We should be on our way to Wembley!

    Comfortable for the Hammers.

Agree with floody on the Blackpool game. Brum lucky to be only one down, think Blackpool will go through.

    Blackpool v West Ham final.

    Blackpool promoted.

    Monday May 7th
West Ham United 3 - 0 Cardiff City (Agg 5-0)
    1-0 Nolan 15'
    2-0 Vaz Te 40
    3-0 Maynard 90

Were on our way to Wembley!

Cardiff were no match for West Ham over these 2 legs.

There is no way Blackpool or Birmingham will beat us in the final.

hard to recall a more one sided play-off semi final we totally dominated both legs and never once looked like loosing .
