    Re: Scottish Premiership 2014/15

Only a week and a half til the Scottish league bets underway. Obviously Celtic are going to win the league its just a question of by how many points, I think the Celtic sides have been getting steadily worse since Rangers went bust. They have no-one challenging them so I think it wont be more than 10 points difference between them and the rest of the pack by May. County will struggle, I see a relegation battle again. The league will also have a slightly odd look with no Hibs or Hearts and no team with any points deduction!.

The Championship will be a belter this year. I'm going for Hearts to win the league with Queen of the South or Sevco Rangers for the play-off.

    Re: Scottish Prem/Champ 2014/15

Have changed the title of this topic to Scottish Prem/Champ as it looks like the 2nd tier will be more interesting this season.

Rangers kicked off their campaign but ended up losing 2-1 to Hearts in what is their first league defeat for something like 2 years!

I thought the Jam Tarts deserved the 3 points and that the Gers were very poor in attack and strikers Miller and Boyd got no service at all.

Another thing i noticed was how quiet the home fans were which was strange considering that the attendance at Ibrox was over 43,000.

Rangers getting a last minute goal at home is nothing new but seeing Hearts retake the lead straight from the kick off was unexpected!. Also unexpected was a goal from the Hibs keeper Mark Oxley against Livi.

County lost 2-1 to St Johnstone but it wasn't a tragic performance. There was 7 new players in the first team and I thought the new boys played well, especially Jake Jervis. Dundee Utd go top after a shock 3-0 win against the Dons, but of course Celtic have yet to play due to the resurfacing of the pitch at Parkhead.

    Re: Scottish Prem/Champ 2014/15

    Dundee Utd 1-0 Motherwell
    Inverness CT 0-0 Dundee
    Kilmarnock 0-2 Aberdeen
    Partick Thistle 4-0 Ross County
    St Johnstone 0-3 Celtic
    St Mirren 0-2 Hamilton

Celtic get there title defence underway with an easy 3-0 win against St Johnstone. Our 4-0 defeat leaves us bottom of the SPFL - only way is up I guess!.

    Dundee 1-1 Partick Thistle
    Hamilton 1-0 St Johnstone
    Motherwell 0-2 Inverness CT
    Ross County 1-2 Kilmarnock

County slump to another home defeat and Celtic struggle to overcome the Arabs. Just to make matters worse, Caley go top

Sorry for posting the table Seamus! - Did you expect Ross County to have such a bad start?
Its unusual not to see Celtic at the top of the league. I cant see their manager lasting for much longer.

I knew it would be tough this year. Last year we were saved by Hearts going bust and a great second half of the season. Getting rid of Adams was a huge mistake. He was the most successful manager is our history and he is always best when up against it. We need to get some passion into the players. Boyd and Brittain are going to be key to this and now we have Gardyne there will be some sort of fire power up front. I feel we just need one win to get going but I fear it will be a long and disappointing season.
