    4 Zenit 26 14 7 5 53-31 49

    8 Ural 26 9 8 9 36-43 35
    9 Rubin 26 9 4 13 30-34 31
    10 Krylya Sovetov 26 8 6 12 17-27 30
    11 Amkar 26 6 9 11 20-29 27
    12 Dinamo 26 5 10 11 24-37 25

    13 Ufa 26 5 9 12 21-38 24
    14 Saransk 26 3 12 11 28-40 21

    15 Kuban 26 3 11 12 31-40 20
    16 Anzhi 26 4 7 15 23-48 19

My CSKA has topped the table again after Rostov slipped up away at rock bottom side Saranks which enabled the home team to leave the relegation zone and move up into the play-off zone. Zenit and Krasnodar are close behind the leaders and still chasing for the title which can't be said about Lokomotiv who quit this race after an unexpected slump in a Moscow derby against Spartak.

    Russian Cup Final

    CSKA 1-4 Zenit

Congrets Zenit on winning the cup. We have no-one but themselves to blame for letting this trophey slip through our fingers this time around as the game was rather even untill a couple defense lapses and a red card on our part. We are topping the table though, with just 4 weeks to go, so winning the title will by far make up for the cup failure.

Is AVB still leaving Zenit at the end of the season comrade? Where is he going next?

He wants to take over at Porto again for all i know. There was a conflict between him and the board a few months ago after which he announced his leaving as soon as his contract expired which happens to be at the end of this season. I don't think Zenit fans are going to weep though. Many of them have long been disenchanted with him. Also it's been kept in secret who is going to be hired a new head coach. Maybe they will shell out some crazy gas money on Mourinho? Just kidding. Most likely they will settle for something less extravagant and more realistic.

    Re: Russia - Premier League

As was expected all the leaders have won their fixtures this week and there are no big changes to the table except Spartak's rise into the fifth spot which gives them right to get to Europa League next season provided they retain it for just two weeks more before the season ends. Next week is massive for us as we take on Krasnodar who are on good form right now with their striker scoring 14 goals in 8 matches in a row including hat trick this week. The second goal was a beauty of a combination

    1 CSKA 28 18 5 5 48-25 59
    2 Rostov 28 17 6 5 38-20 57

    3 Zenit 28 16 7 5 57-31 55
    4 Krasnodar 28 15 8 5 53-23 53
    5 Spartak 28 14 5 9 44-36 47

    6 Lokomotiv 28 13 7 8 39-32 46
    7 Terek 28 11 11 6 35-25 44
    8 Ural 28 9 9 10 37-45 36
    9 Krylya Sovetov 28 9 6 13 18-30 33
    10 Rubin 28 9 5 14 32-37 32
    11 Amkar 28 6 10 12 21-32 28
    12 Dinamo 28 5 10 13 25-43 25

    Re: Russia - Premier League

It was much more easier for us to beat Krasnodar in the last but one week of the season than I had thought. We are still maintaining the first position and just need to gain a victory away at Rubin next week to secure the title! Even a draw might not be enough as Rostov have the upper hand over us in the personal matches which means they will become champions if they win away at Terek and we slip up against Rubin. Both these clubs have nothing to play for but i am sure none of them will want to miss the opportunity to ruin the champions ambitions of the visitors in front of their own fans and thus end the season on that cheerful note. Zenit has come off the title race after an unexpected tie with Lokomotiv and so now it's either CSKA or Rostov on Don. Even if we don't win the last game i will still consider this season successful as we have secured a Champions League spot. But i really regret we will lose Musa as he is set to leave for Leicester or maybe some other English club. I truly wish him the best. He's so grown up since first game for CSKA. Just look what a beauty he banged in yesterday
i have no idea who is going to fill in for him now.

    1 CSKA 29 19 5 5 50-25 62
    2 Rostov 29 18 6 5 39-20 60

    3 Zenit 29 16 8 5 58-32 56
    4 Krasnodar 29 15 8 6 53-25 53
    5 Spartak 29 15 5 9 47-36 50

    6 Lokomotiv 29 13 8 8 40-33 47
    7 Terek 29 11 11 7 35-28 44
    8 Ural 29 9 9 11 37-46 36
    9 Krylya Sovetov 29 9 7 13 19-31 34
    10 Rubin 29 9 6 14 33-38 33
    11 Amkar 29 7 10 12 22-32 31
    12 Kuban 29 5 11 13 34-42 26

    Re: Russia - Premier League

So CSKA are this season's champions then!

It was a routine away win for us at Rubin today, i would call it this way. We controlled the game throughout but Rostov still made things a bit nervous by leading in the parallel game leaving us no other option but a win in ours and we were leading just by one goal. Special thank you to our keeper Akinfeev who committed two brilliant saves when it was just a few minutes to the final whistle which helped us to hold out and secure so desired 1-0 victory and grab the title!

Good effort from Rostov. They had a fantastic season and made it to the second Champions League spot which gives them right to play in qualifying rounds. Will they be able to get through them and find themselves in the group stage? That remains a big question. But lucky us, we have qualified directly

    1 CSKA 30 20 5 5 51-25 65
    2 Rostov 30 19 6 5 41-20 63

    3 Zenit 30 17 8 5 61-32 59
    4 Krasnodar 30 16 8 6 54-25 56
    5 Spartak 30 15 5 10 48-39 50

    6 Lokomotiv 30 14 8 8 43-33 50
    7 Terek 30 11 11 8 35-30 44
    8 Ural 30 10 9 11 39-46 39
    9 Krylya Sovetov 30 9 8 13 19-31 35
