the subject matter isn't exactly the stuff of great comedy but I have to confess to having a laugh to myself at this story.

I very much doubt its the last time this chap will have to 'not fight back'

Apparently the story is a hoax.

ha ha ha ha ! You know, a mate of mine who runs a pub in Bristol had a plaque from the Millwall team bus that was stolen when a bunch of city fans stormed it.
Well when this clown fought the terrorists and was hailed as a hero ,he returned to the plaque to Millwall FC. I was one of the few people on his friends list that never gave a thumbs up ,and this is exactly why!

In all reality this revelation will mean very little to the majority of those celebrating him after the event.

Well first of all having a plaque is a terrible thing.

Also a good act does not wash out the bad, nor a bad the good.

But running at things yelling "Fuck you, I'm Millwall" would not be my thing.

Ross Kemp's Extreme world series on Sky tonight was
about the likely hood of a race war taking place soon in the USA
in the not too distant future interviewing Blacks and Whites in Dallas
who were all armed to teeth openly carrying weapons on the streets
even at demonstrations and its a miracle that there wasn't a blood bath
however i get the impression that is exactly what some really hope for.

most people have half a brain can disassociate what is clearly a moronic man's words in that video and the bravery beyond the pale of a man faced with what he faced at London Bridge.

this is a bloke who, when faced with jihadist terrorists hell bent on killing as many people as possible in pursuit of a martyrs death, stood his ground rather than took flight. he will have known, like we all do, that they would not have stopped until they were dead. he had nothing but his bare hands to defend himself with. 99% of the human race would have been on their toes. self-preservation being the only logical move.

however, this bloke stood his ground and pre-occupied the terrorists for a short while as they used his body as a pin cushion. miraculously he survived but he couldn't possibly have expected to survive when he took the split second decision to confront them rather than leg it.

whatever else the bloke is, nobody can ever take that away from him. he did what very few people on the planet would do and has the scars to remind him and us of it. his bravery in an unimaginable situation will have enabled others to flee due to their focus being on this bloke. it may have been only a handful of people in the vicinity that could flee unharmed but the sacrifice can not be understated and anyone who was able to get away at that moment owes this bloke his life.

his personal opinions, whatever they may be, are an utter irrelevance in the context of this situation.

here's a great account from another immeasurably brave bloke that night: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk...-a7813071.html

hopefully he has a squeaky clean background or the vultures may choose to target him next.
