Thread: England Squads

    Re: England Squads

I think this would be the best time to call the young ones like Rashford, Ings and Lingard(tho they are included in the recent-call ups)

    Re: England Squads

For starters gents, I wouldn't expect Allardyce to drop Rooney out, but making him captain has shown he has every intention of starting the clown in midfield in every game.

I would've liked to seen Iwobi picked ( if he's chosen to play for England)

    Re: England Squads

What other realistic candidates are there for the England captain though other than Rooney who is our most experienced player?
He is the only choice at the moment if you like him or not which shouldn't come in to it. There are sadly no leaders in the England squad at this moment.

I don't think Iwobi has done enough to deserve being selected by England, If he starts playing regular for Arsenal and scoring goals then maybe one day but not now.

Iwobi has 6 Nigeria caps. besides, he has made 13 league appearances in his whole life.

    Re: England Squads

I will say that Rooney 'announcing' that he'll knock England on the head after the world cup annoys me. it smacks of arrogance, the sort that we need to root out of the squad.

Should Troy Deeney be given a chance with England as he has been brilliant for Watford in the last couple of years?

Jack Wilshere back in after a couple of non-descript performances for Bournemouth.

Well done Gareth, toe the line.
