The Panthers stretch to 14-0 after a tight win against the Giants which saw them throw away a 35-7 lead and looking like heading into overtime only for a last second fieldgoal. Disappointed by the result but impressed with the comeback after OBJ lost his head in the first half.

Brock is like the opposite of Tebow, we are learning. Great out the gates, but can't finish.

It was an exciting Wildcard weekend with the Chiefs smashing the Texans 30-0. The Steelers beat the Bengals despite a late comeback. The Vikings miss a routine Field goal to lose against the Seahawks in freezing conditions and the Packers mount a great comeback to beat the Skins.

The playoffs now look like this:-

    Chiefs @ Patriots

    Packers @ Cardinals

    Seahawks @ Panthers

    Steelers @ Broncos

what do you know - I was right!

    Patriots 18 - 20 Broncos
    Cardinals 15 - 49 Panthers

Great excitement with the AFC Championship game, it went down the the very last play. Was shocked by the absence of any kind of Rushing play. Belichicks decision to go for it on he 4th and short backfired leaving them needing the 2 point conversion at the end.

Excited about the Superbowl. Age vs Youth!. I do like Newton so would like the see the Panthers win but on the other hand it might be Mannings last chance to win another. It will all come down to whether the Broncos defence can handle the fire of the Panthers. No Supersickie Monday for me though - ill still be in work at 8am!.

The wounds of the last time we were there are still fresh.

Yeah, This is a chance for Peyton to exorcise the ghosts of 2 years ago.

Prediction time - I think the offence of the Panthers will be too hot for the top defence of the Broncos to handle and they will build up a commanding lead in the first half. Denver will fight back at the end but to no avail. Bear in mind however that I have picked the wrong team in the last 4 superbowls!.
