    Re: Europa League-Group Stage Draw-2016/17

Nasty away trips to Turkey and Ukraine. Still having nightmares about last seasons trip to PSV. Tricky group really but if we can take our PL form forward to the Euro games ill be happy.

Mixed feeling about our draw in Group A.

Think we have a good chance to compete with Fenerbahce if we take Europa League seriously like 2 years ago. After all we still need a lot of coefficient points to climb up the UEFA Team Ranking to have a higher seeding position in draws next time.

On the other hand the atmosphere will not be as normal cause of the restriction only 26.000 spectators are welcome during our home matches instead of a maximum 47.000 which surely was a huge advantage 2 years when we played Sevilla and Standard Liege for example.

Hoping for a point in our first game at home with Manchester United. Our last match at home against Fenerbahce might be a crucial one for second place. Zorya we played two years ago in the qualifiers which we narrowly survived after giving away a 3-0 home lead to 3-3 which was undone by a 92 minute goal to make it 4-3 and 5-4 on aggregate.

Couldn't wish for a better start than this by winning vs. Manchester and seeing Fenerbahce draw in Ukraine. I was at the game and the atmosphere was excellent despite not having a full crowded stadium.

Osmanlispor or APOEL might be the best draw for us there. We have been made one of the favourtites to win it now!.

Man Utd should really go for it as i don't see them finishing
in the top 4 this season so it could be the only way for them to get in the CL next year.
At least Sevilla cant win it this time!

    Round of 16

Celta Vigo (Spain) v FC Krasnodar (Russia)

Apoel FC (Cyprus) v Anderlecht (Belgium)

Schalke (Germany) v Borussia Moenchengladbach (Germany)

Olympique Lyon (France) v Roma (Italy)

Rostov (Russia) v Manchester United (England)

    Olympiacos (Greece) v Besiktas (Turkey)

    Gent (Belgium) v Genk (Belgium)

FC Copenhagen (Denmark) v Ajax (Netherlands)

Man Utd have Russian opposition in the next round against Rostov.
We have an all German tie with Schalke v Gladbach and Belgian too with Gent v Genk.
Lyon v Roma looks like the tie of the round and Olympiacos v Besiktas should be controversial!

United have to be happy with that, especially when four of the fancied teams are playing each other, just hope no Reds go out there even though I know they will.
