    Newcastle v Tottenham-13th Aug-1.30pm

Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has failed to back Magpies manager
Rafael Benitez in the transfer market despite making promises
during the summer that the Spanish coach would have cash to spend.
Tottenham have also failed to make any big name signings however
still have one of best starting XI's in PL even after selling Kyle Walker.
Kieran Tripper might be injured so Spurs have a weak link at right back that the Toon could exploit.

Ought to be a good game, and I expect it to be a tough one for Spurs. I have bad memories of the tanking we took there last time so hoping for happier days! Newcastle 1 Tottenham 2
    He's magic you kno-oow, Mauricio Poch-ett-ino!

should be a tough first game for Spurs until about the 70 minute then the wheels should fall off for Toon. They won't be up to Premiership conditioning i don't think .If they get a draw they will be lucky .
    1-3 Spurs .

Well thanks Jonjo Shelvey, possibly the easiest away game Tottenham will have to face all season after that moment of stupidity. They competed pretty well up to that point and Spurs didn't create many chances. Glad to get that one under the belt, bring on Chelsea!

    Newcastle 0-2 Tottenham

I haven't seen highlights yet but hear that it was
a deserved win for Tottenham and that Dele Alli played very well.
Sounds like that Jonjo Shelvey was a naughty boy again.
How much longer will Rafael Benitez stick around?
